Park Terra Nostra

Park Terra Nostra, located in the Furnas valley in the Azores, is a portuguese botanical garden that has one of the largest varieties of exotic plants and trees, lakes, streams and a pool of heated iron water.
Founded in 1780 by the USA consul Thomas Hikling, the garden was recently considered as one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
Integrated in the park is also the Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, located there for over 70 years. It is very popular for its tranquil atmosphere and direct contact with nature.
